The St Kilda Festival is held in Fitzroy Street, Melbourne each February. The 2005 event was held under sunny skies in hot conditions.

There are races for grades A, B, C, D and women in this Breakaway Events / Carnegie Caulfield CC promotion. The A Grade race was a tactical team affair, with Rob Crowe (and David MacKenzie's HLP Ridewiser team) taking the honours from Simon Clarke('s VIS team).

The festival always attracts large crowds - although the cycle races take place early in the day, there are always plenty of spectators; cycling fans and interested passers-by.
