Bendigo Christmas Carnvial 2004

Christmas Week in Victoria is an exciting week for track riders. There are a series of 'carnivals' in the country areas of the state. The riders travel from carnival to carnival to compete in track meets which last from about 2pm until 9pm or 10pm at night. There are events for young riders and seniors, as well as women. The atmosphere at the carnivals is always relaxed and friendly, although the racing is still highly competitive and exciting.

The Bendigo carnival takes place at the Tom Flood Velodrome on a 415m painted cement track. It has long, easy bends.
